Job Description
Call center-based coordination of laboratory communications through various systems and reference resources. Serve as a liaison for the laboratory by investigating, analyzing, triaging, and resolving highly technical inquiries from clinicians, reference laboratories, pathologists, family members, patients, and additional internal and external customers.
- Facilitate laboratory information exchange by handling incoming and outgoing interactions and ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation of such interactions.
- Provide superior customer service while coordinating and responding to all requests courteously and timely.
- Effectively and efficiently manage incoming calls by responding proactively, thinking critically, acting creatively, and taking independent initiative.
- Perform duties consistent with written policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, hospital, medical call center, or similar customer service environment is required. Education may be used in lieu of work experience. Laboratory experience and/or MLT licensure are preferred.
