Job Description
Regeneron is currently looking for a Drug Product (DP) Engineer to join our Process Sciences Drug Product Engineering team. This is a lab-based position that provides engineering support for the design and development of drug product processes. The individual will design and refine the drug product process from freeze/thaw through filling and inspection and will be part of a team responsible for industrialization, troubleshooting, and validation of drug product processes at manufacturing sites, both international and domestic.As a Drug Product Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute drug product process development and technology transfer activities. Provide engineering expertise to cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement scale-up strategies for drug product unit operations with a focus on process characterization, identification of critical process parameters and process optimization.
- Engage in predictive modeling of relevant processes as needed, engaging external expertise as appropriate.
- Support product life-cycle initiatives.
- Write and review product industrialization protocols and reports to support technology transfer and process validation.
- Support process investigations and assist with product impact assessment for change controls and internal/external investigations.
- May Perform at-scale hands-on experiments and in-process testing to support process development and product industrialization.
- Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance.

- Understand the fill/finish manufacturing processes and drug product processes.
- Enjoy working in a laboratory setting.
- Have experience designing and/or executing DOEs and analyzing the resulting data.
- Can work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional setting.
- Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges, learning quickly.
- Are detail-oriented, have good interpersonal and effective technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Have the dedication to balance multiple projects.
To be considered for the DP Engineer you must have a BS in Mechanical Enigneering, Chemical Enigneering, BioEngineering, or related engineering field. You must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. For various levels you must have the following:
- Associate DP Engineer: 0-2 years of relevant experience
- DP Engineer: 2+ years of relevant experience
Experience with aseptic processing, drug product development, fill finish experience or pharmaceutical development is preferred.
