The Department of Accountancy in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno seeks applicants for a tenure track, academic year position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Accountancy. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students, conduct scholarly and applied research, and engage in service-related activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage with students and/or student organizations in the form of academic advising and mentoring. The successful candidate will be encouraged to integrate accounting-related technology and professional experiences in their instruction. Outcomes assessment and service learning are important components of the university curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and college.

Qualifications:
Required Education (from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent.): * A Ph.D./DBA with a concentration in Accounting (or a closely related terminal degree with an accounting professional certification), from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited program is required. Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered; however, for an appointment, the doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2024
Required Experience: * Evidence of scholarly and applied research, and
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Experience: * Evidence of effective training and/or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: Tax, Financial Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems;
- Earned a CPA or related professional credential;
- Demonstrated work experience in an accounting-related position (e.g., experience in public accounting, private industry, or government position).
Candidates with a well-established prominent record of university-level teaching, research, and/or scholarly activities will be considered for the rank of Associate Professor.

The Craig School of Business (CSB) empowers future business leaders by helping our students to embark on successful careers in business and economics. With approximately 3,000 majors, we offer Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration (with 12 different options) and Economics, and both a traditional and executive MBA. Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The anticipated hiring range is $8,750-$11,250 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
