GENERAL FUNCTION
Partnering with the Senior Trade Marketing Manager, the Trade Marketing Associate will assist in developing solutions that drive category and share growth from retailer partners. They will provide support in developing relevant channel insights and key learnings cross-functionally to help inform innovation development and Go-To-Market plans.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze POS reports, business results and market research to assist managers with insights that will drive actionable channel strategies for retail partners.
- Partner with cross functional teams on initiating retailer-specific creative requirements for displays, packaging and other marketing related collateral through a formal briefing and kick off process.
- Review shopper insights (consumer segments, role of channel in category, purchase behavior, etc.) by channel/retailer and provide findings to assist the Senior Trade Marketing Manager in creating strategies.
- Assist the Senior Trade Marketing Manager in assortment/SKU management & rationalization in conjunction with Product Development.
- Monitor progress on deletion of Corporate Drops between the Commercial, Product Development and Supply Planning teams.
- Along with the Senior Trade Marketing Manager, work with the Commercial team to provide suggestions on annual program updates.
- Analyze annual market pricing changes for Sun and Readers, and partner on creating a recommended matrix by collection for cross functional teams to use in future assortment planning.
- Assist in creating strategic selling presentations partnering with marketing & commercial teams.
- Assist the Commercial team with the item set-up process, including identifying the appropriate in-store execution.
- Attend annual assortment planning cross-functional meetings to become familiar with the latest innovations, brand strategies and consumer insights.
- With the Senior Trade Marketing Manager, ideate potential retailer test options for new merchandising and/or packaging concepts, innovations or pricing revisions to gauge effectiveness prior to a global launch.
- Work with e-commerce and digital teams to provide optimal assortments and ensure product descriptions, photos and relevant graphics are provided to retailer.com teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-2 years of relevant marketing, commercialization or sales experience
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
