Join our Global Port and Destination Development Team and develop new and existing destinations in the Caribbean. Your work will range from creating conceptual designs, managing the architectural design project from conception phase to construction administration phases. You will oversee multimillion-dollar destinations working closely with outside consultants to ensure original designs are implemented and followed during the design and construction phases. You will utilize your creativity and architectural methods to solve design and construction challenges, while leading a team of designers and consultants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee architectural projects from conception stage through design development construction and eventual completion of project
- Ensure project teams meet quality, scheduling, contractual and budget goals
- Lead a team of outside designers/consultants, evaluate facilities, and reformulate building programs when warranted
- Participate in mapping out program requirements, schematic drawings, value engineering analysis and preliminary cost estimates
- Visit construction sites to provide recommendations and perform site inspections to ensure strict compliance to local building/zoning regulations
- Assist in drafting Requests for Proposal
- Manage negotiation contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, invoicing
- Respond and solve efficiently any Construction Administration issue based on approved design
- Be involved and participate in local community strategies to work closely with local government authorities
- Manages the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program
- Risk management to make smart decisions regarding lead times, overbudgets or impact in any forecast variance
- Manage multiple projects efficiently
- 25-50% non-shipboard travel likely
- Working in active construction site visits at destinations
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA, construction management, architecture, engineering or similar
- Masterâs degree a plus
- 6+ years leading design/construction projects for retail and hospitality
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam, Photoshop
- Strong communication skills in English. Spanish as second language (preferred)
- PMP preferred

The range for this roleâs base salary is $83,182 – $135,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
