Job Overview:
LPL is seeking a AVP – Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of local and wide Area Networks (LAN, WAN), and Branch Offices in a Hybrid Data Center / Cloud environment. The position directly relates to providing scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients.
Responsibilities:
Successfully design, implement, and support network technology at our Branch sites and Data Centers.
Local and wide Area network design, deployments, and administration of MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN technologies.
Troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root cause and developing continuous improvement of the environment.
Effectively collaborate with various Teams within the organization as well as external vendors and partners.
Develop solutions that are aligned with our Hybrid Data Center / Cloud Architecture and Network/Security/Industry standards.

Requirements:
Five or more years of Network Engineering experience, designing/configuration/troubleshooting Cisco network switches, routers, and wireless connectivity.
Solid knowledge and experience in well-known protocols and standards (i.e. VLANs, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, BGP, DNS, 802.1x).
Experience in network security hardening and controls as well experience using network monitoring and logging tools (i.e. SolarWinds, LiveNX, ELK)
Ability to perform periodic Network performance and compliance analysis. Experience in Network optimization, reporting, and long-term planning
Open to travel. This is a fully remote position but travel on a monthly basis could range from 0% to 40% depending on the needs of the business
Core Competencies:
Hands on engineering level experience with Cisco routers and switches.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate and educate others about complex technologies with business acumen.
Experience designing, architecting, planning, and implementing routing, switching, and Data Center solutions in multi-vendor environment.
Proven ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Preferences:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
CCNA/CCNP a plus.
Experience with Cisco SD-Access a plus.
Experience supporting Branch site deployments (new or existing) a huge plus.

Pay Range: $102,280-$153,420/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
