Overview and Responsibilities:

The Paramount Technology department supports our global content company through the delivery of a high-quality viewing experience, system infrastructure support, and building innovative ways for our employees to collaborate. Paramount Technology is seeking a Broadcast Associate that will be responsible for supervising and ensuring accurate implementation of all day-of-air changes received from the network programming, sales, and promotions departments for the CBS network. This individual will need to process, check and verify that all schedules are accurate and ready for air through the IBMS presentation schedule which controls all network on air switching and programming.

Responsibilities include:

· Identify and solve potential problems affecting air such as incorrectly formatted programs, missing media, and other potential issues.

· Assist the Broadcast Manager in coordination of routine operations activity as well as during special broadcast situations such as Special Reports, sports runover, live entertainment and news events and network programming changes

· Process all day-of-air commercial and promo changes in IBMS, the on-air scheduling system.

· Accurately schedule all secondary events such as snipes, and SCTE triggers within the schedule.

· Supervise and ensure implementation of Day-of-Air changes received from CBS Sales, News, Sports, Marketing Department, and Captioning for the network and network partners.

Basic Qualifications:

· 4+ years’ experience required in a Broadcasting / Master Control environment.

· Experience with broadcast scheduling systems, preferably IBMS.

· Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in 24/7 operation as well as the ability to react to rapidly changing broadcast situations.

Additional Qualifications:

· College degree preferred.

· Detail oriented (Air & Broadcast scheduling, etc.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 – 75,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
