THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid, part-time Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. We are seeking a talented and motivated Merchandise Graphic Design Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced team to assist in the creation of the merchandise for our music festivals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
·Collaborate with the design team to create unique and appealing merchandise designs for music festival.
·Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) to create graphics and designs for t-shirts, hats, posters, and other merchandise items.
·Mock-up tech packs for the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs.
·Create signage for events and pop-up shops.
·Research and stay up-to-date with current trends in merchandise design and fashion.
·Assist in preparing files for print production.
·Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
·Work closely with our production and marketing teams to ensure designs are being produced and marketed effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- This is not a remote opportunity. The candidate must be able to work on-site at our Austin, TX location.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University
- Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have own laptop to bring to the office
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related filed.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Knowledge of current fashion and design trends
- Preferred interest in music industry
- Commit to 15-20 hours per week on a part-time basis
