Job Description
This position leads and implements the design direction of Fluor’s corporate reporting suite as well as other visual templates and corporate campaign deliverables as required. This position is part of the Corporate Affairs team and reports to the Director, Corporate Reporting.
- Responsible for design and layout work on challenging, high-priority or sensitive publications read by multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Visualizes complex data into digestible graphics tailored to various communication channels
- Creates design templates, illustrations, infographics, and other digital or print materials
- Interfaces effectively with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Investor Relations, Sustainability, Marketing, and others
- Maintains consistent and compliant use of branding in the company (works with the Branding team to set standards and enforce them)
- Manages personnel when required and provides an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
- Works closely with external agencies as needed to develop, coordinate and deliver results
- Analyzes situations, identifies and forecasts pertinent problems and evaluates realistic options; and recommends/implements appropriate course of action
- Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with a focus on quality

Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Proven experience as an in-house or freelance designer, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills
- Proficiency with Adobe CC (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and other video production or desktop publishing software
- Proficiency in typography, color theory, layout, branding and image manipulation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take direction and feedback effectively
- Ability to attend to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, or related discipline preferred
- Five (5) years’ experience in positions leading design efforts for company-wide documents
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry practices and methodologies is desirable, but can be acquired through related work experience and/or external and internal education opportunities
- Team player – comfortable leading as well as participating in a team environment
- Possess strong intuition and sound judgment
- Proven efficiency in project and time management – self-starter with ability to manage own workload
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines while producing high-quality work
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to remain positive and calm under pressure
- Sensitivity to diverse workforce, languages, cultures, and communication idioms
