The Pest Control North America Business Unit is structured to generate Competitive Advantage for USA, Canada and PR capitalizing on the Prioritization, Speed and Agility to Win with Consumers. The Business Unit will have the benefit of leveraging interdependencies when needed as a resource and where scale adds value.
The Pest Control BU Media Director serves as the leader of the vision for Pest Control Media and Integrated Marketing in partnership with the Media Agency and Brand leadership in North America. Reporting to the Vice President of Pest Control Marketing, the Media director is responsible for strategy, planning, buying and implementation of media and activations and maximizing our partnerships with our agencies.

Position Summary:
As the most senior Media professional in the business unit the Pest Media Director is expected to lead the media agencies and build partnerships that drive Pest business growth.
Major areas of focus within MIM are:
- Media (Vision, Strategy, Planning and Execution)
- Organizational governance and continuous improvement
- Data-driven, Tech Enabled Marketing Effectiveness
- External Media Partnerships
- Media and PR AOR management, in partnership with the GCB MIM team Lead
- Manage and optimize the impact of our media budget in partnership with brand owners
- Manages a team of agency media experts to drive growth in the marketplace
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build the MIM function in the Pest BU providing strategic media planning, new media assessment, creative media solutions and media procurement oversight.
- Drive media innovation, through leveraging tactics that put the Pest BU on the cutting-edge driving leadership in the category and for the organization.
- Drive audience led strategies delivering enhanced brand performance and measured impact
- Elevate all media across the organization while driving increased impact of digital, retail media and emerging platforms embracing a test n’ learn mentality.
- Create and manage organizational governance of media principles and best practices while upskilling the organization on capabilities for paid, earned and owned media.
- Ensure effectiveness of media through establishing and delivering select KPI’s in partnership with the Analytics organization.
- Collaborate with the Global Consumer Brands MIM team to leverage best practices, processes and the broader agency ecosystem, where it would add value and not impair speed.
- Lead the Media AOR and related media partners and smaller agencies driving the necessary changes to adapt, leap frog and win
- Improve the effectiveness of the use of our funds driving the best impact of our media in-market
- Drive the media learning agenda, reporting through CIBA and OMG and continuous improvement
- Elevate the work from the Pest BU marketing team, ecommerce team and customer marketing team as it relates to media plans, retail media commerce and converting unique audiences.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree required/Advanced degree highly preferred
- Experienced media professional (10+ years)
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Client and Agency experience
- Managed sizeable teams
- Managed media buys in excess of $200 MM
- Experienced in all media platforms and have strong relationships with desired media partners
- Able to build organizational expertise on media platforms and deliver results in a resource constrained environment
- Strategic leadership and analytical thinking with the ability to create clear governance and measurement for appropriate accountabilities.
- Able to navigate a matrixed organization and influence senior leadership across disciplines
