Job Description
The Management, HR and Information System Area in the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking applicants for a full-time lecturer position for two-year academic appointment beginning September 16, 2024, and ending June 13, 2026, in the primary area of Information Systems (IS). Applicants must have an interest and ability to teach undergraduate-level Introduction to MIS courses and at least one of the following courses: computer programming (preferably using Python and/or Java), mobile application development, computer networking, cloud computing, systems analysis and design, project management, information security, and emerging technologies.The successful candidate must have completed a master’s degree in business with an emphasis in Information Systems or in a related field such as Computer Science from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Business or a related field is a plus. Candidates are expected to demonstrate and maintain currency in their professional field.
