Job Description
DESCRIPTIONA Designer develops high-quality educational materials for training programs. They are responsible for developing engaging and effective visual and instructional content that effectively conveys information to learners. Through collaboration with subject-matter experts and a Learning and Development Specialist, they gather and analyze relevant information to ensure accuracy and relevance in the content. Utilizing their expertise in graphic design, adult learning principles, and instructional design tools, they create eLearning modules, checklists, job aids, instructor-led, simulations, and other assets in varying learning modalities. Utilizing their expertise in instructional design, they oversee the creation of multimedia materials such as videos and graphics to enhance the learning experience. They also stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and update existing instructional materials. Depending on the size of the project, the Designer may be responsible for all lifecycle stages of the project following the ADDIE model, or may focus on the development and implementation phase of the ADDIE model.*This role requires travel 10% per quarter.Key job responsibilities
– Visual and Learning Product Design: For small/medium projects, design learning products in alignment with program designs. Includes selecting and designing appropriate instructional methods, technologies, and tools. Establish high-level learning objectives for each product as well as estimating the hours needed for development.
– Product Development: Develop engaging instructional content for training programs, either based on a learning design plan provided by a Learning Specialist, or designed on their own.
– Quality Assurance and Accessibility: Ensures content is of high quality and accessibility, following guidelines agreed upon by the team. Submits content for quality review to team mates, and reviews teammate’s content for quality based on the rubric below.
– Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify and fine-tune information for content development.
– Multimedia Design: Creates outlines, description, or storyboard of assets needed to enhance the learning experience and collaborate with multimedia developers to produce.
– Technical Expertise: Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design.
– Feedback Review: Set clear expectations on feedback review cycles at the start of the project. Revise and update existing instructional materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.About the team

– Have an available online portfolio
– Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
– Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOSPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices

The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
