Main duties and responsibilities
The Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for the development, execution and production of packaging design concepts for all brand packaging. In collaboration with the Marketing Manager and Chief Sales Officer, the position will identify trends for each decor / customer and design appropriate graphics that reflect the brand look as well as maintaining and evolving core packaging
Basic duties include but are not limited to:
- Support development of marketing materials, brochures, packaging, and merchandising as necessary
- Participate in promotional activities and trade shows
- Provide general marketing support
- Maintain timelines for package development
- Communicate with vendors and purchasing
- Provide general office support
- Prepare presentations
- Conceptualizes highly creative and innovative packaging designs to address brand and product strategies.
- Partner closely with packaging and visual merchandising vendor partners to create key messaging / designs for all projects.
- Partner with Marketing Manager to develop key product presentations for executive review.
- Partner with Purchasing and vendors to ensure that all packaging standards are maintained and projects are on time and within budget.
- Manage corrections for product photography.
- Manage projects and tasks as assigned.
- All other duties as needed
Requirements
- Excellent attendance record.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Must have excellent customer relations skills including customer response, service improvement and the ability and willingness to keep commitments
- Must display original thinking and creativity through resourcefulness, suggestions and problem solving
- Must be self-motivated and comfortable working individually and as part of a team. Able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently within the context of a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work and interact with associates/departments throughout the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field OR equivalent experience
