Overview
The ASPIRE Center, headquartered at Utah State University, is seeking a highly creative and motivated Graphic Designer (Graphic Designer SR) to join our dynamic team. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a vital role in visually communicating our research, innovation, and impact to a diverse audience. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling and engaging design materials that effectively convey the ASPIRE mission and research activities, including the State of Utah’s Electrified Transportation Initiative.
This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah. Telework outside of the state of Utah is subject to review and approval by the University prior to a job offer being extended.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ASPIRE researchers, faculty, and staff to understand project goals and objectives.
- Develop creative and professional visual materials, including but not limited to print collateral, digital content, infographics, presentations, reports, and social media assets.
- Maintain and enhance ASPIRE’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all design materials.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas for visual content.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software to continuously improve design quality.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field plus 4 years of experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of web design, UI/UX design, and multimedia production is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A passion for electrified transportation and engineering research is desirable.

Advertised Salary
$60,000 – $65,000; Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits

The ASPIRE Center is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Center (ERC) that is headquartered at Utah State University. We are the first of its kind in the world to take a holistic approach to eliminate range and charging as barriers to electrifying all vehicle classes, from passenger cars to heavy duty trucks.
