As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.

You’ll be on the front lines of innovation, working with a highly-motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. Your work will ensure stability, capacity and resiliency of our products and emerging industry trends. Working in tandem with your internal team, as well as technologists and innovators across our global network, your ability to solve for fraud detection use-cases for the organization.
Design, code and test application programming using Java/J2ee, AngularJS/React, Spring/Spring Boot in AWS. Create high quality software products for JPMorgan Cyber Defense & Fraud line of business. Oversee end to end software development within agile frameworks. Perform software maintenance and improvements using knowledge application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Design and develop scalable applications for cloud. Resolve high impact production issues and ensure smooth flow of business applications.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Solid application design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging skills
- 2+ years as full stack engineer with hands-on experience in Java/J2EE
- Must have working experience on any of the Spring Framework components like AOP, Integration, MVC, Sprint boot etc
- Experience/Understanding in front end using Angular/React/Vue frameworks, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, Javascript, Jquery, JSON
- Experience/Understanding in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience/Understanding with messaging (JMS/MQ/Kafka) based integration and microservices is a plus
- Working experience on Spring JDBC, Spring Hibernate ORM and JPA
- Database experience (RDBMS or NoSQL) required
- Knowledge of Terraform, Codedeploy, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience in designing and developing applications with RESTful Web Services
- Solid understanding of Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Repository Management (Git)
- Jenkins/Bamboo or any CI/CD knowledge is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field.
Minimum experience required: 2+ years of experience in application development, or related experience.
