Summary:
The Lead Specialist – IT SAP BTP Developer position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions utilizing the SAP Business Technology Platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project managers, to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that meet our clients’ business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SAP BTP applications, leveraging the platform’s capabilities to create scalable and flexible solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement and configure SAP BTP services, such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Fiori, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Customize and extend existing SAP BTP applications to meet specific business requirements.
- Develop integrations between SAP BTP and other enterprise systems using standard protocols and technologies.
- Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of developed solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and end-users during implementation, testing, and post-implementation phases.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP BTP technologies, trends, and best practices and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP development and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services and components, including SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Application
- Programming Model, SAP Fiori, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or ABAP.
- Experience with SAP BTP deployment models, including Cloud Foundry
- Solid understanding of cloud-native development principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP applications is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP certifications in relevant areas are highly desirable.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
The Principal IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of relevant job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in Midstream Oil & Gas industry
Previous experience supporting SAP BTP applications
SAP Certification
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
