Job Description
Position: General Litigation/Transportation AttorneyLocation: Detroit/Bloomfield HillsPlunkett Cooney, one of the largest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest, is seeking two General Litigation/Transportation attorneys, to join our Detroit or Bloomfield Hills office.Preferred candidates will be experienced and versatile attorneys, with a client-centric philosophy, and who can demonstrate an ability to compete and prosper in complex environments.To be considered, candidates must have:
- At least three to- five years of experience in transportation law and litigation practice
- Proficiency in the independent handling of litigation matters such as commercial litigation, premises liability, general negligence, property damage, construction and/or personal injury related
- Experience handling Michigan No-Fault, Third Party & Commercial Auto Liability and Network Transportation Claims
- Experience in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions and arguing motions
- Excellent research, legal brief writing and communication skills
- General litigation motion writing and courtroom oral skills
- Progressively more responsibility for client relations management
- Strong analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A J.D. from an ABA-approved law school, and
- An active member the State Bar of Michigan and be a member in good standing

Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
