Job Title: Litigation Attorney
Talantage, LLC is seeking a motivated, skilled, and results-driven attorney with 3+ years’ personal injury litigation experience. You will assume an existing caseload of litigation matters to manage through settlement or jury verdict. You will become part of an established and growing law practice with attorneys and support staff that are committed to delivering quality legal representation, proven client outcomes, and satisfied client experiences. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide competent representation through legal knowledge, skill, thoroughness, and preparation reasonably necessary to deliver successful client outcomes.
- Conduct client meetings and develop trial strategies.
- Courtroom appearances include attending pretrial conferences, motions hearing, and jury trials.
- Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents and memos.
- Discover relevant facts and evidence through all phases of discovery.
- Demonstrate leadership and team working skills in support of a collaborative environment.
- Desire to “take ownership” of files and move them forward towards settlement or trial without cutting corners on the client’s case.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Negotiate and mediate the best results for clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing, in Florida
- Personal Injury law or insurance defense experience
- Strong familiarity with the Florida Civil Practice Act
- Experience with trial preparation, depositions, discovery, and the like
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
