Job Description
ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, major repairs and operation of all building equipment, such as boilers, HVACs, compressors, and more with minimal supervision
- Performs electrical, welding, carpentry and masonry work associated with all building equipment, accessories and components.
- This includes producing all support documentation such as calculations, materials lists and as built drawings.
- Provides assistance in the various duties in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, chemical and electrical disciplines.
- Assists in problem solving and training of subordinates in the repair and installation of building equipment and components.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Electrical license required
- Experience maintaining with commercial/industrial equipment highly preferred.
- Certifications and/or licensing in HVAC or a related area highly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Fremont, CA.

- Total Rewards All employees at UL are eligible for bonus compensation. We provide competitive salaries and a range of benefits designed to look after you. The salary range for this role is $58,500-$78,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision: wellness benefits such as mental & financial health: and retirement savings401k commensurate with standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation-15 days, holiday including floating holidays- 12 days and sick time off- 72 hours.
