The iconic is looking for their next Marketing Coordinator to join their Marketing team.
Located on a beautiful peninsula in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it is a vibrant destination beach-front resort! Sitting on 17 acres of tropical landscape, the resort is just a short distance from Old San Juan, the vibrant Condado district and the Puerto Rico Convention Center. Featuring a picturesque ocean-side boardwalk, 652 guest rooms and 65,000 square feet of meeting space.
What will I be doing?
As Marketing Coordinator, will directly report the Director of Marketing and will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing, and/or Director of Marketing to assist in the implementation of the marketing plan to increase hotel brand awareness. Specifically, a Marketing Coordinator will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Support the Director Marketing, and/or Director of S&M in the strategy implementation including and not limited to online content, earned media, paid media, online content, reputation management & social media, digital asset management and press interaction as well as any administrative support.
- Hands-on execution as the hotel’s Social Media Champion, Reputation Management Champion and OnQ PMS Champion. Responsible for in-house online reputation management across all platforms.
- Help to develop and support an overarching social media campaign strategy and workflow that will provide a framework for future initiatives.
- Develop and deliver story telling content to social media channels by establishing and implementing a solid content Social Media calendar of events/posts, manage assets, brainstorm, concept and write content that enhances multiple areas of strategic focus.
- Create, review or revise copy alongside for social media, reputation management and website.
- Track and analyze post engagement to demonstrate reputational impact and optimize as needed
- Support an active and engaged following’s growth through Hotel’s social media platform
- Implement overall social media monitoring and response strategy for protecting Hotel’s reputation. Audit and interpret common themes from reputation management and share with respective departments.
- Effectively communicate to all departments on guest feedback operational opportunities, respond to reputation issues on social media platforms, and review sites that may arise
- Maintains up-to-date all online content relevant to hotel’s positioning not limited to the hotel’s websites
- Along with the Director of Marketing, coordinate property photo shoots, videos, development of applications, promotions, marketing campaigns, events, etc as requested.
Along with the Director of Marketing, coordinate press visits, hotel’s proprietary events and assist on press related inquiries
- Work with local third party partners, including local media, and maintain professional working relationships with local official bodies
- Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required
- Support all the hotel departments using social media channels and other digital and offline marketing tools
- Support the development of promotional activities, marketing channels and the production of marketing materials for specific events
- Manage and promote the hotel on Hilton branded websites as well as vanity sites and destination websites
- Work within the Sales & Marketing budgets by using resources effectively
- Support the Sales & Catering division, upon request, to conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, in addition to other tasks assigned.
- Copying and distributing of internal/external communications such as, but not limited to internal/external letters, forms, memos, mail and other administrative tasks. Email correspondence as directed by Manager’s as needed. Filing, faxing and distribution of incoming/outgoing mail.
- Answer telephones/emails to assist internal and external guests with requests.
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri, 40 hours but may require flexibility based on hotel needs
Pay rate: $11.75 per hour

What are we looking for?

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous Hotel or leisure sector experience
- Previous Marketing experience in a similar environment
- Basic knowledge of budgeting or cost-management
- Relevant degree, in marketing, business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution
