CBS NEWS MIAMI in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale is looking for an expert multi-skilled photojournalist with phenomenal storytelling skills, who brings ideas to the table daily, cultivates sources, and is passionate about local news! Must be able to cover breaking news with a sense of urgency.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to use powerful images, compelling sound, and effective lighting to make every story a potential award-winning one. Must be highly accurate and able to work individually as well as address issues fast. Another essential skill is the capacity to make live shots come to life.
- The candidate must also have experience using Grass Valley Edius editing platform or a similar platform.
- Experience with FTP and posting videos to the web is a plus!
- Minimum of three years of television news photography experience in a medium to large news market.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Experience operating ENG microwave trucks and LiveU bonded Cellphone backpacks or similar technology is a must.
- Successful candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Candidate must be a great teammate and work well in a sometimes-stressful environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is also required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to shoot and edit broadcast-quality video for television newscasts and digital platforms
- Ability to work individually with extreme accuracy and think rapidly to find solutions.
