Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs ophthalmic photographic and diagnostic services
Performs ophthalmic photography. Modifies equipment for each test. Takes images of patients using specialized equipment including but not limited to: ocular fundus imaging system (FA, ICG), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT),OPTOS, fundus photos, red free imaging, deep red imaging, stereoscopic imaging and auto fluorescent imaging. Monitors patients conditions and reactions during the imaging process for Fluorescein Angiography (FA), documents in EMR. Notifies physician as needed.
Maintains and updates training as new modalities and prototypes are added.
Modifies equipment for each test
Responsible for obtaining pre-procedural consent forms and other related documentation
Assists with image storage related concerns, manages duplicates and escalates any concerns with image capture
Recognizes problems/malfunctions of photographic, diagnostic and related equipment
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with established procedures
Responsible for preparation of materials as requested for audio-visual presentations, publications, lectures and exhibitions
Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate
Ensures patient safety is maintained at all times
Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment
Ensures standard infection control precautions are observed
Coordinates flow of patients to maximize physician and room utilization and minimize patient waiting times

At least 2-3 years experience as an ophthalmic photographer, required.
Must be proficient with F/A, ICG angiograms, Topcon camera, Heidelberg OCT, OPTOS, Fundus photos, Red Free imaging, deep red imaging, stereoscopic imaging, auto fluorescent imaging. working knowledge of eye anatomy.
Experience and Medical Specialty:
- Ophthalmology: Required, Retina a plus
- Phlebotomy Certification a plus
- Current Retinal Angiographer Certification a plus
- Associate’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of MDI, a plus.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: based on skill level, background, and experience. $28-$33 an hour range. Potential to advance to Photographer 1 (senior photographer).
Please note this is an hourly non-exempt position
