Job Description

We’re hiring a senior Family Law paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, conducting legal research, leading litigation preparation. - Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
- Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
- Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
- Manage family law cases and clients from the start of the case to litigation or settlement.
- Superior follow-up and execution skills.
- Quality-oriented; delivers fast and effective results.
- Proactively move cases forward from start to close.
- Deliver 5-star quality customer service.
- Manage all aspects of the case, including drafting complaints, motions, discovery, trial preparation, and settlement phases.
- Collaborate with a team of high-performing, dedicated professionals who strive for excellence and top-notch service.
- Plan, calendar, track, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Draft parenting plans, settlement agreements, DRFA, and child support worksheets.
- Meet with clients to proactively manage case.
- Lead uncomfortable conversations with clients to ensure that we receive discovery documents and evidence well in advance of the deadline.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Georgia family law.
- Knowledge of GA Family law cases and statutes.
- Law firm technology skills, including prior experience using Smokeball or a similar case management program.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
- Experience managing family law cases from start to finish.
- Old-fashioned work ethic and reliability. Honest and trustworthy.
- No prior criminal history. Able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Trainable, lifelong learner who values opportunities for learning and growth.
- Excellent memory. Excellent note-taking skills.
