We’re growing! One of the largest law firms in Central Florida with offices in Orlando, Tampa, Melbourne and Tallahassee is growing and is seeking candidates for a Paralegal in its Orlando Office.
Summary of duties:
- Work closely with a partner and associate on their litigation files and to assist with other duties for the team.
Process and review medical records, work with experts and set compulsory medical examinations (and schedule pertaining to same)
- Trial preparation, electronic file management utilizing case management software (AIM/Perfect Law), E-filing with the various counties utilizing the State’s online portal,
- Prepare basic and complex documents such as answers, discovery requests and responses, witness and exhibit lists, motions, order, etc. as well as reports, medical billing charts and summaries.
- Other duties as assigned
- This position will involve assisting the attorneys in cases while working in a supportive team environment. The Paralegal opening is for a highly organized candidate who excels at working independently.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Paralegal general litigation experience required
- Insurance defense experience helpful
- Perfect Law experience preferred but not required
- Advanced computer skills
- Exceptional internal/external client service skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills and forward-thinking ability
- Available to work overtime if required
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
