Apply here for your next career!Academy of Art University’s School of Game Development is currently hiring Part-Time Instructors to teach Concept Art, on-site at our innovative San Francisco campus, for the Fall 2024 semester. As a Part-Time game instructor, you will:
- Teach in your given specialty on campus (180 New Montgomery, San Francisco).
- Clearly communicate existing course material each week while motivating and inspiring students to deliver their best work.
- Grade student work and provide timely feedback on weekly assignments, midterms, finals, and long-term projects.
- Provide mentoring opportunities through student advising during interactions with class instruction.
- Support curriculum as needed by suggesting any edits to keep coursework up-to-date according to industry standards.
Requirements for All Specialities:
- At least 3 years of professional game industry experience.
- 1 or more shipped projects / development cycles.
- Excellent verbal, written, problem solving, professional and interpersonal skills.
Concept Art Skills: Onsite Open
- High level drawing and digital painting abilities
- Adept in use of Photoshop for Concept Art
- Portfolio work demoing thorough understand of Concept Art for Video Games
- Proficient in 1 or more of the following areas: Character Design, Environment Design, Prop Design, Production Artwork, Figure Drawing and Character Painting
