Job Purpose

Responsible to manage, lead, and coach plant quality supervisors and their quality teams. Establish and maintain standardized quality requirements and quality processes across the manufacturing facilities to meet customer expectations and requirements, Federal Highway Association (FHWA), and Critical Road Safety (CRS), QBMS internal processes to support the achievement of quality excellence and operational success.

Qualifications

o FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) test and certification, on-site required

o CRS qualification training, on-site required

o 5+ years of direct related experience and knowledge in supervision or management.

o ISO 9001 and/or QA experience a plus, willingness to learn a requirement.

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o Skill and demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources in a manner to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications while maintaining lowest costs, highest efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

o Understanding and utilizing techniques for effective cost control while maintaining delivered quality of products.

o Knowledge and demonstrated experience with management of production processes, quality control, cost control, efficiency, lean manufacturing, safety programs, and budgeting.

o Ability to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities.

o Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and complete major projects.

o Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

o Self-motivated, results oriented, with demonstrated ability to work effectively alone and with others within a team environment.

o Ability to manage, lead, motivate, develop, and direct people as they work and identify the best people for the job.

o Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels.

o Work and communicate in a team environment.

o Must be fluent in English.

o Ability to write technical correspondence.

o Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
