Reliability EngineerKMS Solutions, LLC is a technical management/solutions company that specializes in engineering, analysis, and cyber security. Founded in 2005, KMS is a certified small business with over a decade and a half of experience supporting the Department of Defense as well as many other departments and programs critical to our Nations security and well-being.Essential Functions
- Conduct an analysis of reliability problems and investigate to determine the required reliability approach.
- Determine cost advantages of alternatives.
- Develop action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failure and maximize reliability and availability.
- Use DoD 5000, to develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes for submarines and submarine systems.
- Perform detailed reliability studies and calculations of component/system reliabilities.
- Plan and perform engineering research, design development, or manufacturing/process engineering assignments, including responsibility for major subsections of complex projects using general engineering practices influenced by the general theme of reliability principles.
Required Education and Experience:
- Secret DoD clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Ten (10) years of engineering experience
- Five (5) years of experience in reliability engineering
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- DoD 5000, Active-duty Navy, and / or Navy acquisition experience desired, not required.
- Engineering experience specifically with undersea warfare systems and/or Combat systems
Competencies:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer and company leadership.
- Capable of effectively working and problem solving in both independent and team environments.
- Strong analytical skills
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
