  • Manages all operations in the Seafood Department
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Procurement of product – best quality & price
  • Develops creative & aggressive merchandising plans
  • Hires, trains, coaches & develops staff
  • Responsible for MAP process including department sales & labor budget, grosses, expenditures & reports
  • Ensures the dissemination & adherence to all company policies
  • Maintains adherence to all security & safety policies
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations
  • Adheres to proper waste management and recycling procedures
  • Maintains inventory control procedures for the department
  • Orders & manages all supplies and products
  • Responsible for keeping the POS department updated on scanable price changes
  • Design & execute a dynamic merchandising plan to support promotions & advertising
  • Ensures proper merchandising & signage on all products
  • Keeps up on industry trends/standards/changes
  • Maintains department cleanliness, product freshness, & variety
  • Writes department schedule
  • Develop & maintain vendor relationships

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .:

  • Minimum 2 years seafood & management experience
  • Passion for seafood
  • Flexibility to work afternoons/evenings/weekends/holidays
  • Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office
  • Ability to have full body mobility, (reaching, bending, stooping, & twisting)
  • Good communication skills/excellent record keeping skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of customers and employees
  • Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example
  • Exemplifies health department standards
  • Willingness to take calculated risks to maximize sales
  • Visionary, leader, team player
  • Good follow through, people skills & problem solving
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and occasionally more

Entry Level Compensation: USD $29.30/Hr. Maximum Compensation: USD $31.20/Hr.
