Developing our people is critical to our strategy and fostering our culture of empowerment.The US LBM Senior Manager Infrastructure is a pivotal position in US LBM that requires extensive expertise and effective leadership to ensure the seamless, secure, and efficient operation of US LBM’s server infrastructure across multiple locations and data centers. The ideal candidate will have broad experience managing 700+ servers in private clouds of a growing organization that is focused on service delivery and enhancing the end-user experience.Essential Functions
- Lead a team of talented systems engineers, guiding them in server management, monitoring, patching, disaster recovery, and incident response.
- Foster a culture of proactive optimization, driving initiatives to automate workflows, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and enhance system resilience, with a focus on SLA and SLOs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to align private cloud operations with business goals and growth plans.
- Analyze performance metrics, troubleshoot issues with surgical precision, and ensure data integrity at every turn.
- Implement and enforce robust security policies and procedures to safeguard our critical IT infrastructure.
- Champion innovative solutions, embrace automation, and contribute to shaping the future of our IT ecosystem.
- Monitor and manage backups and disaster recovery preparedness including documentation, processes, and tools.
- Conduct regular assessments of industry trends and analyze business needs with stakeholders to develop new solutions or processes to improve operational efficiency or cost savings.
- Support and coach the operations team on new concepts, procedures, and process improvement.
- Adheres to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Work Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT, including extensive data center/server management experience with multiple direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of Hardware, Virtualization, WANs, VLANs and Remote Server and Storage Administration.
- Familiarity with Vulnerability Remediation and Patch cycles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive and effective leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of server and storage technologies.
- Expertise in virtualization management and maintenance.
- Expertise in domain migrations and Active Directory.
- Expertise in server OS upgrades.
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems features and roles: File/DFS, AD DS, RDS, IIS, Print
- VMware and Hyper-V
- Backup Best Practices
- Disaster Recovery Planning and execution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail.
Licenses and Certifications:
- One of the following certifications is required: AZ-800, MCSE, CSEP or VCP
- ITIL v2 Foundation.
- VMWare Certified Professional is preferred.
- DCCA is preferred.
- DCDC is preferred.
- CDCMP is preferred.
- DCIS is preferred.
