Farm Bureau CenterOverviewSenior Operations Support Analyst ObjectiveTo be proficient in the various aspects of a computer operations center and operation support analyst roles. To lead scheduling requests, analysis of mainframe and open systems computer operations procedures, schedules, schedule monitoring, detect conflicts, equipment, facilities, and production levels to eliminate problems and ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality processing. To recommend, implement, and monitor procedures, techniques, documentation, and automated routines designed to track production and quality levels to support division and corporate goals as directed. To lead and participate in departmental and corporate projects as assigned. To respond to Job Control, Document Management security and Operations requests. To lead changes in areas needing improvement and develop suggestions and collaborate with various levels of staff to improve support and services.ResponsibilitiesSenior Operations Support Analyst ResponsibilitiesExhibit a working knowledge and understanding of operating systems, administration of operations software, including security, console automation, batch scheduling, report distribution and software distribution, as well as Incident Management and Enterprise Job Scheduling software.Monitor the timely scheduling, execution, distribution and quality of all mainframe and open systems platforms and online production and development processing. Recommend, initiate, and implement improvements in processing, and quality control to maximize the efficient and effective use of all available computer hardware and human resources.Possess, make use of, and share a working technical knowledge of automation software used to design, develop, and implement automated routines. Provide input and participate in or lead the design, installation, and implementation of Data Center automation systems software that will improve productivity and efficiency of Computer Operations.Lead in collection and accumulation of requested information for identifying customer requirements (i.e., processing, times, memory, priority) and service level objectives. Develop and communicate information and work with vendors, as requested, to pursue alternatives for cost reduction.Provide further knowledgeable detection of issues, review/analysis of dashboards, console instructions, queries, error messages, equipment malfunctions, schedules, program/job control language info and system failures.QualificationsSenior Operations Support Analyst QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required.College level courses in data processing and business required.PreferredAssociate’s degree in computer science or business required or equivalent experience may be considered.
