The Cloud Architect will be a member of a global team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Adtran products including but not limited to the following: application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.

Proven experience working with AWS infrastructure, services, and best practices, with a preference for AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.

Experience with UI front-end technologies such as Angular and React

Experience with back-end technologies such as NodeJS

Experience with various database technologies such as SQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.

Strong background in cloud architecture design and implementation, including infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Solid understanding of security and compliance best practices in AWS environments, such as IAM roles, VPC configurations, and encryption methods.

Familiarity with serverless architectures and relevant AWS services, such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance analysis tools in AWS, like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray.

Experience in monitoring distributed systems with different frameworks (e.g. DataDog), including incident management

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in guiding and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.
