New Jersey Resources is seeking a Customer Experience Technical Lead to support NJR’s customer experience solutions with focus on SAP IS-U, SAP Cloud for customer (C4C), SAP Marketing Cloud (SMC), SAP CRM SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPdI) and web and mobile sites. Create current and future state architectures, solutions and providing guidance and sharing to the technical team while working closely with other IT, suppliers and business partners. Drives technical decisions, reviews and is accountable in delivering enterprise level technical solutions while ensuring the solutions meet IT architectural best practice, compliance, security and business requirements.
Lead and manage the Customer Experience Development team throughout the entire application lifecycle including the design, implementation and maintenance of all business application solutions. Direct the technical activities, analysis and design of the Customer Experience solutions. Develop standards and practices that direct the day-to-day operations of the Customer Experience development team. Communicate with a wide audience, including IT staff, SI Vendor and Program team to ensure deliverables are built in accordance with defined quality standards.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, project managers and technical team to understand the client’s requirements and develop comprehensive SAP solution architectures that align with their strategic goals and objectives
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of SAP developers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions within project timelines and budget constraints; mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, risk assessment and monitoring progress; ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices
- Oversee the design and development of SAP solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. Collaborate with the development team to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
- Architect and implement SAP integrations and interfaces with other systems and applications. Ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable SAP solutions. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and system testing to identify and rectify issues proactively.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including business users, project sponsors, and executives. Engage in regular communication to provide updates on project progress, manage expectations, and address any concerns or issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus
- 8 + years of experience as a technical lead or solution architect in SAP implementations
- Deep knowledge of SAP technologies, including IS-u, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Integration technologies (BPT) and other relevant integration protocols (API, JSON, SFTP)
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including solution architecture, development, integration and testing
- Strong expertise in ABAP programming, SAP UI technologies and SAP data migration tools
- Excellent understanding of enterprise integration patterns, service-oriented architecture (SOA) and API management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead a team towards project success
- Certification in relevant SAP modules or technologies is highly desirable
This position is hybrid in our Wall, NJ office (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
