Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for implementation and management of all transportation and logistics activities among assigned commodities in support of IFP trading activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain and maintain competitive transportation rates and services to support IFP traders.
Establish and maintain freight costs for IFPs commodity based supply chains
Communicate rate changes, new rates/services to relevant stakeholders
Lead and/or cooperate with sales admin personnel to resolve any operational issues throughout the supply chain
Lead a weekly booking activity report meeting in order to ensure proper execution of the supply chain and to forecast needs based on sales projections
Conduct cost reconciliations on freight related invoices
Maintain commodity specific rate matrices and service contracts of transportation providers
Have a presence at industry events nationwide to stay up to date on market knowledge, identify and build upon new opportunities
Have a scheduled presence with all logistics providers in order to supervise vendor execution and develop new opportunities
Build a network of relationships with suppliers, vendors and end users
Special projects and assignments as business dictates.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in freight procurement
Ability to multi-task and respond to customer inquiries in a direct, professional manner
Strong Problem Solving, Negotiating Skills
Data management and organizational skills
Comfortable interacting with people in a variety of professional and social settings
Adept at Excel/Tableau/EDI/API applications
Experience with International Trade
Experience in Supply Chain Operations (freight forwarding, warehousing, trucking, maritime transportation, etc.)
Bachelors degree
