8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for all distribution orders and coordinates outbound and inbound loads to and from the facility. This person will work closely with the logistics providers to accomplish accuracy within the shipping department and to ensure that our customers receive their product in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain drivers checking in and out, enter distribution orders, adjust all outbound loads, schedule all outbound orders, inform carriers of schedule, and receive
- Responsible for correlating all orders received from third party transportation providers and carriers while preparing accurate shipping documentation and maintaining the information database which includes customer information
- Reconcile shuttles to distribution centers and process orders in the JDE
- Create and maintain drop trailer list
- End Of Month task including clearing three reports replen disc, orders shipped but not received, and open PO report
- Create, print, and file picking tickets for daily sales and distribution orders
- Fixing discrepancy with the shuttle trailers, sales, and replenishment order
- Prepare and process all UPS shipments and record weight information in the database
- Maintain contact and relationship with dedicated transport for customers
- Partner with company leadership to support and maintain Food Safety and Quality programs, and to proactively identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation
- Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
- 2+ years’ work experience or degree in a business-related field
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems
Physical Requirements: Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Must be able to sit for 7+ hours per day

- Must be able to work in hot, humid, noisy, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
